Mission Statement
The North Stonington Historical Society works to promote awareness and understanding of the sociological, economic, political, cultural, and natural history of the Town of North Stonington, Connecticut. We believe that history is an ever expanding and inclusive story and should be accessible to everyone.
The North Stonington Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1970. Its membership is voluntary, open to the general public, and all-inclusive in nature. The Society nurtures and preserves an evolving collection of land records, genealogical materials, historical artifacts, and an historic homestead, dyehouse, and other properties. In addition, the Society publishes a newsletter eight times a year featuring personal histories and recollections of the town.
